"C.G.O.Co.Ltd" is the first bus company in Shanghai. Its first line opened to public in 1922. "C.G.O.Co.Ltd" issued two set of bus tokens, the 1922 Issue, and the 1939/1940 issue. All of them are quite rare currently.?

This item is the 1939/1940 Issue, which include:1 Cents token, Alu, 21 mm in diameter, 1.8 gram. The face of the token is "J.D.S", which is the signature of manager.

This issue was circulated for only 3 to 4 years. After WWII, the bus token went out of use.
