XJ0005, Xingjiang Hotan(Khotan) Administration, 1 Tael Paper Money 1930's.

Good to Fine, please refer the picture, poorly printed in a kind of special paper.

During 1934 to 1937, Ma Hushan, a warlord of Gansu Province, controlled Hotan Prefecture. He published notes into circulation to meet the need for millitary funds, or called Ma Hushan Notes.

One Tael Current Note by the Hotan(Khotan) Administration Government Head Public Office (1934/1935, the 23th/24th year of the Republic of China). Printed in very poor quality, with poor facilities. But paper is a very special type, which is only made in Hotan District.

The denomination is one tael, which equals one silver dollar. But when issuing, it met with huge inflation.
